PHOENICIA. Sidon. Baalshallim II, circa 401-366 BC. Dishekel (Silver, 31 mm, 28.19 g, 11 h). Phoenician galley above waves left; above, 𐤁 ('b' in Phoenician). Rev. Persian king, raising his right hand, and driver, holding reins with both hands, in chariot left; to right, king of Sidon, in Egyptian style garments, walking left, holding cultic scepter in his right hand. Betlyon 18. E&E-S Group IV.1.1.a, 566 (D22/R34). HGC 10, 236. Boldly struck and unusually clear. Faint scratches, otherwise, about extremely fine.
